About · Dr. Colin

I've been the patient in this story.

Multiple lumbar disc injuries. Reconstructive surgery on my wrist, my elbow, and my shoulder. A double jaw surgery that changed nearly every aspect of my life. I'm deeply empathetic to the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of injury and recovery — which uniquely qualifies me to guide people through the parts of it that never show up on an X-ray.

How I got here

Treating pain as a capacity problem, not a symptom to chase.

What ultimately worked was looking honestly at the gap between what I was asking my body to do and what it was actually capable of doing. High-functioning people live in an "I can get that done" mindset rather than a "how am I getting this done" one. That distinction is what led me to start hunting for the specific capacities holding someone back. That's the whole basis of how I practice now.

I'm a chiropractor and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. More than a decade in practice, 20+ years coaching — gymnastics, cheerleading, CrossFit, and Olympic lifting. I competed as well, including a national championship in cheerleading at Oklahoma State. It's an unusual pair of credentials, and it's the reason I can assess you, treat you, and then write and coach the program that keeps it from coming back.

I work with athletes at every level, executives, golfers, women training through pregnancy and postpartum, and people who just want to get through the day without something hurting. The approach doesn't change much: find what's actually driving it, fix that, then build the capacity so it holds.

Outside the office I'm in the gym, on the golf course, or at home with my wife Julie and our two dogs, Doug and Frank.

You'll know exactly what's driving it and exactly what we're doing about it. And you'll have some work to do.

Credentials & training

The short version.

01

Doctor of Chiropractic

More than a decade in clinical practice. Diagnosis, manual therapy, and management of musculoskeletal problems — including knowing when something belongs with someone else, and who that should be.

02

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist

The credential behind the programming. It's what lets the plan continue past the point where treatment usually stops.

03

20+ years coaching

Gymnastics, cheerleading, CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and personal training. Twenty-plus years of watching how people actually move under load turns out to be useful for figuring out why one of them hurts.

Most pain isn't damage. It's a job your body can't do yet.
